Reflecting 2012, welcoming 2013 ❤

Christmas's over and now we've already gone through the 365 days of 2012. There's a gush of mixed feelings of enthusiasm, joy and of course regrets as well. Well, nobody is perfect and often we made the wrong decisions that led us to painful outcomes. Over this one year, I truly experienced the realities of life and learnt to live in the reality.

To be honest, I was born and grown up into a dreamy, happy life where I have a warm, blissful family, happy friends whom I made up with them easily even after a fight and lovely, caring teachers who constantly fed me with knowledge. Stepping into college life, things changed and this was when reality came in and when I learnt how to live.

5 Important Life Lessons:
  1. Be grateful with what you have now and cherish them. When you think you face the worst situations, remember there are always people who face even dreadful circumstances than you are. When I was young, I used to think why my parents treated me like this and that; but now I  realise how blessed I am to have parents who constantly nagged me to do this and that. I've met a lot people with divorced parents, single parents, undependable parents and all sorts of broken family problems that we human could come up with. Now, I love my family more than ever, because you never know when you'll lose them.
  2. Accept your own self and let go of imperfections. Nobody is perfect. I remembered a good friend of mine told me that even pretty girls with perfect outlook, are down to have imperfections, for instance bad body odour. *LOLs. Therefore, love yourself. Of course if you got imperfections in your attitude, the term 'let go' doesn't mean you can just ignore it and go on with that attitude. What I mean here is that not to bitter over it, instead admit there's a problem and learn to overcome it.
  3. Recognise your own abilities and limits. Everyone have imperfections, so everyone is sure to have at least a strong capability. Stop grudging that life is unfair and search yourself what's your strong point and work hard towards it. And never let people take advantage over you. Know your own limits and learn to say 'NO', instead of accepting requests and complaining at the back of others. Put your priorities first.
  4. Work with people. Certain things you can take care on your own, but some you just can't do it without people around you to help you. I encountered friendship crisis before and that was when I learnt than I need people that I trusted to step in and guide me in dealing the problem. That's why relationships are important.
  5. Be optimism in all circumstances. I know, it's easily said than done. It's okay to be down for the hardship you face, but just for a while, then get up to your feet and face it. See it in another good perspective and learn the values in it. My younger sis once quoted, "Since you cannot escape it, learn to enjoy it." Only then you will find it is not as hard as you thought.

All the best guys! Wish you happy new year!
Let's embrace 2013 with lotsa ❤❤❤

Time for a hair makeover❣

Hey, it has been long long time since i last blogged due to tons and tons of studies to do. Well, i'm not stressed but perhaps over-motivated. Now that i know my passion, it motivates me to excel to the max i can.           Okay, cut the crap.

I did hair rebonding after considering it for a long time recently. People asked me why not i do it right before Chinese New Year, well, it's just because i don't want my hair to look flat and unlively during cny, which was why i took a long time to finally decided to do it. My hair is super duper thick, so i wanted it to look less thick yet not too flat during cny. *i know, girls being girls, and we usually demand a lot. teehee

Since i'm not in kl currently, so i decided to just do it in my hometown. I went to a salon, i'm not mentioning the name since i don't really have a good hair experience there. I regretted going there. After the hair rebonding, my hair ends looked fried and even worse than my frizzes. My hair becomes really dry. Well, i know it was very damaging to hair, but i don't think it'll cause such disaster to my hair now.

Well, i learnt the lesson. Choose well your salon before doing anything to your hair! Ask reviews from your friends of their experiences. And appoint the right hair stylist that you truly trust.

But one thing i did not regret is that my hair looked not so flat, thanks to my damn thick hair. *hahahaha

Discovery of Number 76 salon❣

I posted before that I've this so-called salon phobia, right? Guess what? I went to another salon again after 2 weeks having my last haircut again. This time I'm so determined to save my hair. *lol*

Following @cheeserland's instagram and I randomly caught her post of her hair photo geotagging number 76 salon. She often praised about the 'miracle hair treatment' that made her hair so soft and silky. I was intrigued so I googled up the salon to find out more about it. This 'miracle hair treatment' uses the new Japanese technology that utilised an ultrasonic iron to lock treatment and moisture into the hair strands. As I googled more, I found out that number 76 salon is a Japanese salon that is often visited by top Malaysia bloggers such as cheesie, audrey and even SEA famous Singaporean blogger, xiaxue went there before. *I know I'm a bit outdated. teehee*

And so, I decided to visit the place for a try. Mustering up my courage again, I booked an appointment with hairstylist Amy for ultrasonic hair treatment at the Midvalley branch. Ohh, btw, the salon is located at Northpoint of Midvalley. It took me a while to locate it. @.@
Here's the directions for future first-time customers:
  1. Walk to the guardian at the first floor at the north court of Midvalley.
  2. Cross the bridge and you're now at northpoint.
  3. Keep walking until you see an escalator and take the escalator down.
  4. Turn right and you'll see a laundry shop.
  5. Keep walking down the path and you'll see Number 76. ^___^
When I went in feeling kind of nervous, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and was ushered to relax first while waiting for Amy to come to my service. The environment is pleasant and cosy, and they got tonnes of VIVI magazines ♥ Then Amy came and met me. Omg, she's so friendly and eventually my anxiousness resided. She observed my hair and honestly explained that the ultrasonic hair treatment will not 100% reduce my hair's frizziness. She recommended hair rebonding and confidently said that she could change my hair texture. Guess what, she's not pushy at all and quickly  assured me that she was just recommending and it was up to me whether to do it or not in my next visit. I decided to try out the treatment first.

And finally, the ultrasonic treatment started and handled me over a junior I think. First, he washed my hair and add treatment to it. Then, he used something like flat iron, the so-called ultrasonic iron to iron my hair. As he did it he explained about the technology and he even asked me to touch the metal plate on the iron. It's not hot or warm at all, so it's not damaging to hair. After that, he applied hair mask onto my hair for 5 mins and washed it off. Another hairstylist blowed dry my hair and everything was done in less than an hour. My hair felt so soft and my hair was less frizzy than before that I couldn't stop touching it every few minutes. XD I was also given a fancy small bottle of some sort of like conditioner to be applied after 2 weeks. And I was lucky because the treatment was under promotion this month. *happiness!* Girls just ♥ promotions and sales❣

Look slimmer and longer❣

Joy overflowing in me today, so let's match something nice out of my wardrobe❣

fashion cheat #2:
red wine knitted collar chiffon blouse + beige high-waisted cropped pants with belt

High-waisted pants highlight your waistline and create illusion for longer and slimmer legs. Tuck in your blouse in the waistband and pair up your high-waisted pants with a pair of platform heels for best long-legs effect.

PS: If you have big booties, high-waisted pants might accentuate the area more.

The Joy of Holidays❣

Cheese! Waking up with a red eye, but, thank God it's Wed❣ People usually tweet #tgif but this week is an exceptional. Simply because... we gonna have last class today for the week! Everyone loves holidays right? This friday is a public holiday, but I tell you what, 'THE POWER OF PUBLIC HOLIDAY', causes classes before or after the public holiday to be cancelled as well. [Actually it's my college-mates requested the 'extra holidays' =}]

Way before holidays, everyone starts planning things to do during holidays.
Some plan going shopping, some plan watching movies, some plan doing exercises, and perhaps some so-called hardworking ones plan of studying at home and etc etc etc; tonnes of things to do to that holidays seem to be not enough.

But when holiday comes, those plans just gone in the air, and people end up cosily lazing at home, doing nothing, wasting time, especially those planning to study [it's me actually... teehee!] And then holiday comes and goes just like that. And end up regretting and complaining why holiday is not long enough. =.= lol!

On the first day after holidays end, people check up calenders again, looking forward to the next holidays because >>> PEOPLE JUST ♥♥♥ HOLIDAYS❣

Floral floral to the max❣

Waking up on a beautiful sunday morning. [ahhh what a blissful sleep❣]
And the best part, dressing up time ♥♥♥

fashion cheat 1#:
sheer floral top + lace tank + pastel pink tights

Combination of floral and soft pastels brings out and highlights your feminine character, perfect for a romantic date with your loved ones. Do add on statement floral earrings [u can get tonnes in forever 21 ^w^] and a pair of casual wedges❣

PS: Don't add on big statement necklace if your top is frilly like mine. [you don't want to look like a christmas tree i bet!] The floral patterns on your top itself is the best accessory on you.

Big shout out to L'Oreal Paris Re-nutrition Nourishing hair care❣

I've been making a fuss on my dry, frizzy thick hair all this time. The frizz really strips off the shine in my hair and is a big minus to my outlook beauty. ARGHHH! What should I do with it?!

^
^
^
PS: That's not me! =3

I tried various hair care line, but the one that stands out  most to me is the l'oreal paris re-nutrition nourishing shampoo and its conditioner.

The first day I used it, I could feel the HUGE difference it made on my hair. My hair felt super soft and smooth, and most of all it reduced the frizz. Such a miracle! One of my buddies even asked me whether I did hair rebonding on the next day! Another praised that my hair looked straighter than before. I was like whoahhhhh! It also has delicate, creamy texture combined with a delicious honey and floral fragrance leaving my hair smelling 'yummy' all-day long.

So what makes this shampoo and conditioner the so-called saviour to my rebellious hair?
One of it's major ingredients is the royal jelly, otherwise known as bee's milk.

Benefits of royal jelly:

❧ treats dry, breaking hair because of its high moisture content, leaving the hair moisturised.
❧ treats dandruff as it nourishes the scalp with natural oils and moisture, eliminating abnormal scalp dryness and flaking.
❧ unblocks the hair follicles thus allowing faster growth of healthy, strong and soft hair.
❧ adds thickness to the hair strands making them resist breaking.
❧ help to neutralize the negative effect of free radicals on hair as it consists of wheat germ oil, vitamin F and E which act as antioxidant properties.
❧ rejuvenate the scalp and restore damaged hair tissues as it consists of amino acids.

However, reluctantly I have to stop using it after one week as it caused me serious headache and fever. Perhaps there's certain ingredient in it that i'm allergic to. But girls, don't be negative towards this product because it don't cause similar side effects to everyone. I gave the remaining shampoo and conditioner to a friend of mine to try out and she does not get any headache. So, do check the ingredients of the products before considering buying them ya!

New haircut to start off October ❣

Say hello to October~~~
[it's already 7th of Oct, did u miss the first week? =.=]

Anyway, it's time for me to get a haircut after months when I last had my haircut. [did u just say months ago?!] yea, I got my last haircut months ago and if u ask me why, this is the reason ---> I've fear of hair salon! @@ Seriously and don't ask me why again. After mustering my courage, finally I booked an appointment with CUT STUDIO in SS13.

What most people do before any haircut:
Take the 'before' haircut photo.

And there I'm getting ready to chop off my long hair.

And of course,
take the 'after' haircut photo.

As u can see, I opted for long-length haircut with side-swept bangs. I bet u'll never see me in short haircuts. I have very thick hair and my hair tends to get frizzy, so I got slight layers for my hair.

NOTE: Hairstylists in CUT STUDIO are friendly and professional, yet u can get quality hair services at cheaper rates compared to other renowned hair salons in kl.
